We live in a small space, so we don't the option of having two beds set up simultaneously. Our new mattress is arriving today, so we dismantled our current bed and carefully unpacked the frame only to find that they had sent no instructions. Apparently, this happens regularly enough that the website directs you to email them for a PDF, but their customer service is open from 7-4 M/F (a super convenient time for anyone to assemble a bed). Of course, they don't have the PDF posted on their website, so we're stuck waiting until someone checks and responds.
I wanted to update this. We finally received the instructions and were able to put the bed together. One of the wooden pieces came damaged (broken and scratched paint) and we are missing a part to assemble one of the drawers. We tried to find the missing piece at Home Depot, but it's not available, so now we're waiting again. I am SO sorry that I ordered this and would have sent it back, but for the hassle of dealing with returning such a bulky item. Please save yourself the trouble and find another bed.

When I was looking around for a bed for my new mattress we wanted one that was going to free up some space in our bedroom as well, I know some people have complained about the size of the drawers but they were actually bigger than the dresser drawers that they were replacing in my case.
Was fairly easy to build, probably took me and my brother, 1 - 1 1/2 hrs to build which for the size of the bed isn't bad.
Really sturdy, I am a bigger guy (6'4", 400 lbs) and I was worried about breaking the slats or the fact that it was pressed wood but so far so good. Would definately recommend this to anyone, great design.

Really nice bed
There is a reason I only give 4 stars though.
The black finish in two noticeable spots had what appeared to be glue from the packaging, but upon closer inspection it was globs of white varnish or resin used to coat the black finish.
It is not noticeable with the comforter on the bed, so not that big a deal. It took almost three weeks to arrive because it was shipped from the other side of the US, Seattle to Florida, and came in three large boxes, so I did not want to deal with trying to get new pieces to replace the ones with the faulty finish.
It took a good 4 hours for two people to assemble the bed and drawers. Although it took that amount of time to build, I know that it will have to be disassembled if I ever have to move.
It is a very solid base for our mattress "Sleep Innovations 10-inch Sure Temp Memory Foam Mattress" which I bought off of Amazon at the same time as the bed.
